Virginia was once again ranked as one of the top five states for business in the recently released rankings from CNBC's "America's Top States For Business". Virginia had been ranked the No. 1 state for business three of the first five years the sixth annual study was reported.
Virginia continued to fare well in the Workforce and Education categories. This year's drop from the No. 1 spot was due to declines in Transportation and Cost of Doing Business.
North Carolina was ranked No. 4 in 2012.
