As a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) of Atlanta, our team was recently notified FHLB has released an additional $5 million dollars for the Affordable Housing Program (AHP) Homeownership Set-Aside Program.
Funding is based on a first-come, first-served basis for eligible borrowers. The First-Time Homebuyer Product offers up to $7,500 for first-time homebuyers to assist with the down payment and closing costs incurred when purchasing a home. Additionally, the Community Partners Product provides a maximum home purchase assistance subsidy of up to $10,000 for current or retired law enforcement officers, educators, health care workers, firefighters, and other first responders, veterans and active-duty members of the military, or their surviving spouse, and COVID-related essential workers who are purchasing a home.
In addition to meeting income eligibility requirements, homebuyers must meet program stipulations. If you would like to learn more information about this program, please contact our team today!
